A distinguished member of the International Society of Poets, Sara Elizabeth McCaughan Blundin was also named to the Roster of Poets, Poetry International, Alachua Florida American Poetry Showcase, and the Special Poets Series by Yes Press. Sara has been published by the International Society of Poets and by the National Library of Poets “Of Diamonds and Rust” Vol. II. Sara also wrote for the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin and the Delaware County Daily times.
Born February 11, 1919 at home in Sharon Hill Pennsylvania. Sara graduated from Hallahan Girls Catholic School in 1937 and five years later married Robert Maynard Blundin, Jr. For the first 10 years of her marriage, she and Robert lived with Robert's grandfather in Collingdale, PA. In 1952 Sara & Robert bought a home in Holmes, Pennsylvania where they raised nine children, H. Brent, Robert, Marilyn, Jacqueline, Elizabeth, Christine, Bernadette, Brian and Barry. Sara has 17 grand children and 13 great grand children.
Sara’s hobbies are writing, reading, ceramics, painting, walking and travel. She is an active member of the Over 50 Club of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a proud member of the McCaughan Family Sunshine Club.
She is also remembered for her stunt driving in Smokey and the Bandit.
